You will receive a call from our Pre-Admission Testing Medical Assistant the day before your procedure with your exact check-in time. Please be available by phone to ensure you receive this important information.

We recommend wearing loose, comfortable clothing. Please avoid wearing pantyhose, makeup, perfume, cologne, or aftershave. Jewelry and other valuables should be left at home. While lockers are available for your belongings, the Surgery Center is not responsible for any lost or damaged personal items.

Yes, if you are receiving IV or oral sedation, a responsible adult (18 years or older) must accompany you and remain at the facility during your procedure. This person must be able to review and sign your discharge instructions and stay with you for the remainder of the day.

Please note: Medical transportation services (e.g., Med Ride) cannot legally sign discharge documents.

f you are not receiving sedation but are scheduled for a lumbar procedure, we still recommend bringing a driver, as you may experience temporary weakness or numbness in your legs.

Yes, your driver is required to remain on-site throughout the duration of your procedure.

Depending on your procedure, sedation may be administered via IV, oral medication, or local anesthesia. Your provider will discuss the most appropriate option during your consultation, and this will be confirmed during your preoperative phone call.

If you are receiving IV sedation, do not eat or drink anything for at least 8 hours prior to your scheduled arrival time. This includes water, gum, and mints.

If you are instructed to take any morning medications, you may do so with a small sip of water, as approved by your provider.

Yes. If you have diabetes, please check your blood sugar the morning of your procedure. If your blood sugar is over 200, contact us at 303.606.7115 before arriving.
