Bethany College Kansas- Bachelor of Science Biology/Pre-Med, Palmer College of Chiropractic Main-Doctor of Chiropractic. Dr. Hollind grew up in Colorado playing competitive softball from childhood through college, allowing her a first-hand appreciation for all facets of patient care pertaining to sports injuries. She is passionate about helping athletes from all walks of life excel in their hobbies, whether it’s returning after injury, looking for personal gains in the gym or on the field, or a weekend warrior looking to move more efficiently. Once she graduated from undergrad, she decided to pursue the knowledge of physical rehabilitation, body mechanics, and patient care at Palmer Davenport in Iowa. She spent almost every moment of free time in the clinic’s Rehab Department where she learned soft tissue techniques like IASTM, Active release technique, Kinesio taping, functional cupping, and voodoo floss. She uses Diversified, Thompson Drop, and activator adjusting methods alongside these soft tissue techniques in order to provide the body with the optimal opportunity to relieve pain and improve function. Outside of the office, you can find her at the Colorado Renaissance Festival, playing video games or obsessing over anything related to The Lord of the Rings. She loves baking and finding more books to add to her “To Be Read” list rather than reading the ones she has on her shelves.
Most injuries stop hurting before they are finished. That gap is where people get hurt again, and it is the part of care Dr. Englert spent her training on. She played competitive softball from childhood through college, a rotating, throwing, sprinting sport that punishes a shoulder or a hip that was returned to play early, and she spent most of her free hours at Palmer in the rehabilitation department rather than only in the adjusting rooms.
In practice that means the adjustment is the beginning of a visit rather than the whole of it. Soft tissue work and loaded movement follow, and the plan progresses on what you can do rather than on how many weeks have passed. It applies well beyond sport: a warehouse shift, a toddler, and a long drive over the pass all ask the same question of a joint, which is whether it can take load through its full range without complaint.
The problems she sees most are lower back pain, neck pain, sciatica, herniated discs, headaches and migraines and injuries after a car accident.
Three techniques are used here, and which one you get depends on you rather than on habit. Diversified is the hands-on adjustment most people picture, with the audible release. Drop-table, also called Thompson, uses a table section that drops a short distance so the force needed is much lower. Activator is a small spring-loaded instrument that delivers a single controlled impulse and no twisting at all — which is what makes it the usual choice for someone nervous, someone older, or a joint too irritable to handle more.
Two other things are available alongside: spinal decompression, a motorised traction table used for disc-related leg or arm symptoms, and dry needling for the muscular component that survives the adjustment.
The part that matters most is what happens when Chiropractic is not the answer. Physical Therapy, Pain Management and Acupuncture are in the same building and on the same chart, so a change of direction is a conversation rather than a new referral and another wait.

When the joint takes load through its full range without complaint, not when the pain stops. Those are different dates, often weeks apart. Dr. Englert tests the first rather than asking about the second, and will tell you what to modify in the meantime.
