About

About Ricardo Sauceda

Dr. Sauceda was born and raised in Garden City, Kansas. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from Fort Hays State University before completing his Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Cleveland University–Kansas City. After graduating, he moved to Colorado to begin his Chiropractic career. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Dr. Sauceda ensures that care is accessible and welcoming to diverse communities. He takes a patient-centered approach, providing Chiropractic care for individuals of all ages. His areas of expertise include spinal adjustments, injury recovery, and lifestyle support. Outside the clinic, Dr. Sauceda enjoys spending time outdoors—whether it’s golfing, hiking, or traveling. Whether you’re recovering from an injury, managing chronic pain, or simply looking to enhance your overall well-being, Dr. Sauceda is dedicated to helping you reach your health goals.

Clinical focus

Healing tissue and persistent pain are two different problems

An injury that is six days old and an ache that is six years old both present as pain, and they need different care. Fresh tissue damage has a timeline, responds to protection and graded loading, and generally improves week over week. Pain that has outlasted its injury does not follow that curve, and treating it as though it will produces a patient who feels they are failing at getting better. Dr. Sauceda works with both, and the first job at the first visit is to establish which one is in front of him.

For the recent injury the plan is short and the measure is function returning. For persistent pain the measure is different: what you can do in a week, how long a flare lasts now compared with three months ago, whether the thing you stopped doing is back on the list. Adjusting, soft tissue work and a change to how the area is loaded all contribute, and when the honest answer is that chiropractic is not the main tool, Physical Therapy and Pain Management are in the same practice.

The problems he sees most are lower back pain, neck pain, sciatica, herniated discs, headaches and migraines and injuries after a car accident.

In the room

What an adjustment actually involves

Three techniques are used here, and which one you get depends on you rather than on habit. Diversified is the hands-on adjustment most people picture, with the audible release. Drop-table, also called Thompson, uses a table section that drops a short distance so the force needed is much lower. Activator is a small spring-loaded instrument that delivers a single controlled impulse and no twisting at all — which is what makes it the usual choice for someone nervous, someone older, or a joint too irritable to handle more.

Two other things are available alongside: spinal decompression, a motorised traction table used for disc-related leg or arm symptoms, and dry needling for the muscular component that survives the adjustment.

The part that matters most is what happens when Chiropractic is not the answer. Physical Therapy, Pain Management and Acupuncture are in the same building and on the same chart, so a change of direction is a conversation rather than a new referral and another wait.

Insurance and referrals

Seeing Dr. Sauceda

No referral is needed for Chiropractic, Physical Therapy, Pain Management or Acupuncture, and our goal is to get you in within the same week.

Mountain View Pain Center is contracted with Medicare and with most major commercial plans, and we also work with personal-injury liens and workers’ compensation. Medicare covers spinal manipulation only — not the examination, the modalities or the therapies around it, which are billed separately. Our team can verify your benefits before your first visit.

Before you come in

Ricardo Sauceda — FAQs

Is Dr. Sauceda accepting new patients?

Availability changes from week to week, so the honest answer is to ask. Request an appointment online and say you would like to see Dr. Sauceda, or call and our team will tell you what is open at Lowry. No referral is needed, and our goal is to get you in within the same week.

I have had this pain for years. Is it too late for chiropractic?

No, but the goal is framed differently. With long-standing pain the useful questions are how much you can do, how often it flares and how long a flare lasts, rather than whether a single visit made it disappear. Progress on those is real progress and it is what gets tracked.

Where does Dr. Sauceda see patients?

At our Lowry clinic in Denver. Chiropractic, Physical Therapy, Acupuncture and Pain Management are all Mountain View Pain Center service lines, so if your care needs to move between them it moves on one chart.

Do I need a referral to see a chiropractor here?

No. Chiropractic at Mountain View Pain Center does not require a referral, and neither do Physical Therapy, Pain Management or Acupuncture. If your own plan requires one, our team will tell you when they verify your benefits.

Does Medicare cover chiropractic care?

Medicare covers spinal manipulation only. The examination, imaging and any therapies performed alongside the adjustment are not covered under Medicare for chiropractic, so our team goes through what is covered and what is not before your first visit rather than after it.

Request an appointment online any time.

Day or night, seven days a week — and we’ll text you back to get you scheduled. No referral is needed, and our goal is to see you within the same week. Colorado scheduling runs through one number for every Colorado clinic: (720) 749-5599.
