Statewide, ADOT counted 121,107 crashes, 54,426 injured people and 1,228 deaths in 2024, on all roads including city streets, county roads and state highways. A later ADOT news release reports 118,052 crashes and 1,156 deaths for 2025. That release gives statewide totals only, so there is no 2025 city comparison on this page.

The Colorado Department of Transportation publishes statewide crash listings, but its crash data page does not list injuries by city. City and county data are available from CDOT by open records request. CDOT does publish preliminary traffic death counts for its largest cities and counties. The figures below are for 2025 and may be revised.

The City of Fort Collins compares fatal crashes across Colorado cities in its Vision Zero annual roadway safety report. The report states that its Colorado figures come from CDOT. A fatal crash is a crash in which at least one person died, so these are counts of crashes, not of deaths.

Agencies do not publish the same measures for every city. Where a city figure is not published, the table says so and shows the county figure, labelled as a county figure. Figures from different agencies and different years should not be compared with one another.

Injury counts by city are published for Arizona only. Colorado city figures on this page are deaths and fatal crashes.
An injury crash is a crash in which at least one person was injured. People injured and people killed are counts of people involved in those crashes. A fatal crash is a crash in which at least one person died. A property-damage-only crash caused no injury or death.
Figures are copied from the source tables with no estimates, rounding or adjustments. Arizona city rows add up: for each city, fatal, injury and property-damage-only crashes equal total crashes. The ADOT 2025 news release restates the 2024 statewide crash total as 123,535; this page uses the figures in the 2024 Crash Facts report. CDOT 2025 figures are preliminary and may change. Counts depend on crashes being reported to law enforcement.
