Westgate, and why the location matters after a crash

Our Glendale clinic sits at Westgate on 91st Avenue, and it is one of the sites where interventional procedures are performed in office with fluoroscopy on site.

For a collision injury that matters. If the examination finds a nerve root rather than muscle, the guided injection happens in the same building, by the same physician, without a referral out and without a second practice starting your history again.

The roads

Glendale crash corridors

The Loop 101 Agua Fria and I-17 carry the fast traffic, and their on-ramps and merges produce most of the rear-end impacts we treat. Bethany Home Road, Glendale Avenue and Northern Avenue carry the slower, signaled traffic where side impacts and turning collisions happen.

Event traffic adds a third pattern. The stadium and arena district pushes heavy volume onto local streets in short bursts, and low-speed impacts in a crowded parking lot still load a neck enough to matter three days later.

The delay

Why the worst day is not the first day

The curve of a soft-tissue injury rises for about forty-eight hours before it turns. A driver who walked away untroubled on Friday is often the one who cannot check a mirror by Monday.

An early visit lays down a baseline, and without one a symptom surfacing two weeks later becomes arguable. While you wait, stay in light motion — immobility lets the tissue tighten and lengthens the whole thing.

The team

One chart, four kinds of provider

Whiplash and collision training is held by each chiropractor on this site. Sharing the file with them are physicians board-certified in Pain Management, the advanced-practice providers they oversee, and the therapy staff.

Transport to appointments can be arranged for collision patients and charged against the lien. Interpreting is provided at every visit, in whatever language you speak.

Paying

Med-pay, lien or health plan

Payment in Arizona runs one of three ways: the med-pay benefit on the auto policy, a lien if a lawyer is acting, or your own health coverage. Having a lawyer is not a condition of being seen.

Referrals are not required. Coverage is confirmed before your first visit and there is normally an opening inside the week.

Most patients are billed to auto insurance or med-pay first, then health insurance for what is left. Anything still outstanding goes on the lien we hold, and payment waits until your case settles — nothing is due from you up front.

Common questions

FAQs

Where is the Glendale clinic?

At Westgate on 91st Avenue. It is one of the clinics where interventional procedures are performed in office, with fluoroscopy on site.

Is a referral necessary?

No — book straight in. There is normally something open inside the week.

I was in a low-speed parking-lot collision. Is that worth checking?

Often yes. Low-speed impacts still load the neck, and the stiffness commonly arrives two or three days later. More: do you need a doctor after a minor accident?

How quickly should I act?

Inside the first few days if you can. The visit sets down a baseline, which is what makes a later-appearing symptom explicable.

How does billing work in Arizona?

Med-pay on the auto policy, an attorney lien, or your own health coverage — decided at the first appointment. See who pays for treatment after a car accident in Arizona.

What if my injury needs an injection?

Westgate performs those in office with fluoroscopy on site, so it does not mean being sent elsewhere.

I have no transport. Is that workable?

Usually. Rides for collision patients can be arranged and charged to the lien.

Can someone interpret for me?

Yes, at every appointment, in whatever language you speak.

A crash injury is easier to treat in the first week than in the second month.

Mountain View Pain Center treats crash injuries in Glendale at our Glendale clinic at Westgate. No referral is needed, care is billed to med-pay, a health plan or against the claim, and appointments are usually available within the same week.
