Physician Assistant who grew up in West Monroe, New York and attended Maryland University for his undergraduate studies where he obtained a Bachelor of Science of Psychology and a minor in Biological Sciences. He later went on to receive his Master of Physician Assistant Studies at University of Utah in Salt Lake City, UT. Prior to attending PA school, served in United States Air Force for 10 years as a Surgical Technologist. Where he was stationed in Washington DC, Idaho, South Korea, and California. It was during this time that his passion for medicine and providing care to patients flourished and grew. His favorite aspect of being a Physician Assistant is being able to make connections with patients, build a trusting rapport, and deliver efficient and effective evidence-based healthcare to patients in need. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with close friends and family playing board games. He also enjoys travelling, hiking, camping, and exploring new and interesting new hobbies related to technology.
Kyle spent a decade in the Air Force as a surgical technologist, stationed in Washington DC, Idaho, South Korea and California. A surgical tech is the person responsible for the sterile field and for the instruments — which is to say, a decade of procedural discipline where the consequence of a shortcut is an infection.
That background is visible in how an image-guided injection is set up and explained. Procedures in pain medicine are short and routine, and the thing that separates a good one from a bad one is not drama but preparation: the right target, the right technique, and nothing skipped because it is the tenth one that day.
Military medicine also means years of treating people whose work is physically demanding and who cannot simply stop doing it. That is a useful instinct in Fort Collins, where a good share of patients are in the same position.
The conditions he sees are lower back pain, neck pain, sciatica and nerve pain, herniated discs, arthritis and joint pain, hip pain, knee pain, shoulder pain, peripheral neuropathy and headaches and migraines.
Kyle’s visits start with an examination and a diagnosis. His first job is working out which structure is generating the pain, because that is what decides the plan — and imaging you bring is read alongside the examination rather than in place of it.
Visits cover evaluation, medication management and ongoing pain care. Where an image-guided procedure — epidural steroid injections, nerve blocks, joint injections, trigger point injections and radiofrequency ablation — is the right next step, it is scheduled at Northglenn or Interquest in north Colorado Springs, which are the Colorado clinics where those are performed in office.
Physical Therapy, Chiropractic and Acupuncture are in the same building, so where the answer is rehabilitation rather than a needle it is a handover rather than another referral and another wait.

Usually, and it is worth saying so plainly at the first visit rather than discovering it later. Most of what we do is outpatient and short, and the rehabilitation side can often be built around a shift pattern rather than against it. What does not work is a plan designed for someone with a desk job handed to someone who is on their feet for ten hours — so say what your work actually involves and the plan can be built around it.
