Injuries We Treat

Motor vehicle collisions. Whiplash, neck and back injury, radiculopathy, headaches. For crash-specific guidance see car accident chiropractic care.

Slips, trips and falls. Spine, hip, shoulder and knee injuries, often with delayed onset.

Workplace injury. Lifting injuries, repetitive strain, falls at work.

Sports and recreational injury, where a single event caused the problem rather than wear over time.

Get Assessed Early, Even If It Seems Minor

Neck and upper back pain after an accident

The most common mistake after an accident is waiting to see whether it settles down.

Soft tissue injuries do not announce themselves right away. The adrenaline wears off, the tissue stiffens, and what felt like nothing on Monday is a neck you cannot turn by Thursday. Most people read that delay as proof the two things are unconnected. Usually they are connected.

Being assessed early gets you moving sooner, and early active treatment is the standard of care for most soft tissue injuries. Waiting rarely helps and often stretches out the recovery.

What Treatment Looks Like

First visit. A full history of how the accident happened, then an exam: range of motion, orthopedic and neurological testing, and imaging where it is indicated.

Early phase. Hands-on care to restore movement in the joints and reduce muscle guarding. Usually chiropractic adjustment and soft tissue work, sometimes with dry needling for trigger points that keep referring pain elsewhere.

Middle phase. Physical therapy to rebuild strength and control. A joint that moves well but is supported by muscle that has switched off will simply get injured again.

If it is not resolving. Some injuries do not respond to conservative care, usually when a nerve is involved rather than muscle and joint. Because there are pain management physicians in the same practice, moving to imaging or an interventional option does not mean a new referral and a six-week wait. See pain management.

Your treatment plan is set from your clinical findings and reviewed as you progress, so it tracks how you are actually doing. When you are better, you finish.

Paying for Care

Cost is the main reason people put off being seen after an accident, so here it is straight.

Health insurance. Most major plans accepted. See insurances accepted.

Med-pay. If a vehicle was involved, most auto policies include medical payments coverage that applies no matter who was at fault. A lot of people do not realize they have it. It is worth asking your auto insurer.

If you have legal representation. Treatment can be arranged so costs are settled from the claim rather than paid by you up front. Ask us and we will explain how it works in your state.

We verify your coverage before treating, so you know where you stand before the first appointment rather than after it.

Personal Injury Care FAQs

How soon after an accident should I be seen?

As soon as you can. Symptoms often appear a day or two later, and earlier treatment generally means a shorter recovery.

What if my symptoms started days or weeks afterwards?

Common, particularly with whiplash and back injuries, and it does not mean they are unrelated. Tell us when the accident happened and when the symptoms began.

Do I need a referral?

No. You can book directly.

How long does treatment take?

It depends on the injury and how early you are seen. We set the plan from clinical findings, reassess as you go, and discharge you when you are better.

Will my insurance cover it?

Most major plans are accepted, and if a vehicle was involved your auto policy's med-pay may apply. We check before treating.

What if I need more than chiropractic care?

Physical therapy, acupuncture and pain management physicians are in the same practice, so care can step up without starting over somewhere else.

Can I be seen at a different clinic than where I started?

Yes. Your chart moves with you across all 22 locations.
