Sydney worked as a medical scribe in an emergency department before PA school, which is an unusual apprenticeship: months of listening to clinicians explain the same findings to patient after patient, and watching which explanations actually landed. It shows in how much time she spends on the why.
That matters more in pain medicine than in most fields, because almost nothing here works without the patient doing something between appointments. Deer Valley is not one of our procedure clinics. Where an image-guided procedure is the right next step — epidural steroid injections, nerve blocks, joint injections, trigger point injections and radiofrequency ablation — it is scheduled at our Westgate clinic in Glendale or our Mesa clinic, which are where those are performed in office in Arizona. You are not starting again with a stranger when that happens; the plan and the reasoning travel with you.
Physical Therapy, Chiropractic and Acupuncture are available at Deer Valley itself, and for most people the useful plan runs two of those alongside each other rather than one at a time.
