He was recruited to run NCAA Division II cross country and track at Le Moyne College in Syracuse, NY where he obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and was an NCAA Division II All-Region Athlete. He later went on to receive his Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Christian Brothers University in Memphis, TN. During his time as a student, he worked as an emergency department nursing assistant at a trauma center. He is a member of the Pi Alpha National Honor Society for Physician Assistants. Nick is passionate about musculoskeletal and interventional pain medicine and takes pride in helping his patients move towards greater functionality to enjoy life to the fullest. In his free time, Nick enjoys fitness classes, running, hiking, attending concerts, and spending time with his friends and family.
A distance-running background changes how you read a musculoskeletal problem. The questions become how much load the tissue is being asked to take, how much it is currently able to take, and what changed recently — mileage, hours on feet, a new job, a long drive. A surprising share of pain that arrives with no injury story resolves once that gap is named.
It also shapes what progress looks like. Nick tracks what you can do — distance, time on feet, how long you can sit — because those move before pain scores do and they do not depend on remembering how last week felt.

He worked as an emergency department nursing assistant at a trauma center while training, which is where most clinicians learn to sort the genuinely urgent from the merely alarming quickly — useful in a field where a great many people arrive frightened by a scan report.
Westgate is one of our four procedure clinics, so epidural steroid injections, nerve blocks, joint injections, trigger point injections and radiofrequency ablation are performed in office there, with fluoroscopic guidance available.
